In my vast experience of having run two events so far, I've only seen the map be available the morning of.  Saturday's course will be different from Sunday's if you're there all weekend.

Only 30 people registered so far vs. the usual 45+  Should make for a good day if we can get organized and rolling early.  Maybe an opportunity for some extra runs...?

Why is it called a practice if they change the course?

personal practice. improving how you take lines, challenging yourself. getting your car settings dialed in for race day on the sunday. It'd be grossly unfair if practice day was the same as race day for people that didn't register for the Saturday.

Is it timed then? Would it be fair to say there will be course A on Saturday and course B on Sunday with results posted on each? I have only ever been to the Red Deer events and am just trying to prepare myself for this event.

I will be bringing my corvette, that is the only race worthy vehicle I have.

It's timed on both days, and results are posted for each day.  The only "real" difference is that Saturday's results do not count towards the club championship.

BTW, we typically score the day as the bext run of the morning plus the best run of the afternoon.  This is an attempt to even out changing conditions (cool in the AM, warmer in the PM), and it also gives us the option to change (tweak) the course halfway through the day.

That sounds wonderfully relaxing. We unfortunately have to work till late and have other commitments so we will not be leaving to come down until 4am. I will see you hopefully around the 8am mark. I look forward to seeing you handle your new ride.

It's timed on both days, and results are posted for each day.

I should clarify.  Results are available each day (and live if you have a smart phone).  I don't actually post them on the web until I get home on Sunday night.  But I do get them done "immediately" (within a few hours anyway).
