Lincoln Spring Nationals - Pro Solo - Thurs-Fri-Sat

The Lincoln Pro started today ... with practice starts etc. and competition begins tomorrow morning.  There are 269 entries on the list.

A number of people from here are going - Ambrose and Jay in SS, and Orieta in L2 ...

Also of note are Eric Peterson in ES (SoloPro Instructor), Patrick Washburn in EPrepared or R2 (SoloPro instructor who has taught here many times), Neal Tovsen in CSP (SoloPro instructor who has been here many times). Jeff Kiesel of Emod fame in Bugeye Sprite (note some mod and Prepared cars go in "R" - race tire classes), and a number of others that members among us know of, have raced with, etc.

Didn't see Orieta in the L2 results .... ran in the 1st group.  Maybe she did not go?

Ambrose, being the 1st driver is running right now.

They cancelled the 3rd session that was scheduled for this morning.  I noticed the last runs went past 7 pm last night so maybe that is what happened ... a story there somewhere.

So the standings remain from yesterday and only challenge rounds will take place today.  Ambrose was 0.076 out of the 2nd trophy spot unfortunately.  Jay was further back and could have improved I'm sure.

Morning runs were cancelled due to rain (maybe thunder/lightening too?).  And  now they are drying conditions so tricky.....right side is drier.

Bonus Challenge is being announced ... only 8 cars ... hmmmm.....because of the rain earlier?

Intense rain and thunder storm in the morning, so heat3 was cancelled. Jay and I knew ahead there might be a chance of rain today, but unfortunately couldn't get it done yesterday. It's was very possible to leap frog for the win, but that was not in the card this time.  I shouldn't have drank the bottle of water before heading out...

We're still chasing car setup for the surface. Seemed like our current settings doesn't like this surface very well. Another test and tune day tomorrow ...
