Hello all, over the last couple of years I have been wanting to get into AutoX but this year I decided to make the jump. I will be attending my first event this Sunday, the 5th at Airdrie and hopefully all Airdrie events after that; putting my 2004 STi to good use.

I do have a couple questions:

Can I use tape on my rear window for my number? I recall reading that this isn't recommended but I can't find it anymore.
The Novice guide says show up early, but the gates open at 9:45. Is this as early as I can arrive?

While the circumstances aren't ideal I look forwards to getting out there!

Hey, welcome to you first event!

You will need numbers on both sides of the vehicle. The rear window is not visible as you drive by. Numbers should be at least 8" tall and are best on the door panel with a contrast colour to your car.

Show up right when the gates open is the idea. Airdrie is a bit unique that way but we simply encourage getting there early to make sure you have time to register, get settled and walk the course a few times. It can seem like a lot your first time so best to give yourself as much time as you can.

Oops, I meant the rear doors windows. They are tinted so white tape should contrast nicely.
