Where to buy: Supertrapp for vehicle exhaust?
« on: March 19, 2017, 07:21:43 PM »
Planning to put a supertrapp on my Civic as I suspect it will be too loud for local auto x events (also excruciatingly loud on the highway currently). Anywhere locally I can find one?

I bought mine from Summit Racing -- couldn't find anything locally.

Seconded, I also got mine through summit. Couldn't find one at the usual suspects around town.

If you had attended autox events in the last few years, you would have seen me removing and re-installing my Supertrapp at every event.  It dramatically reduced the typical S2000 drone caused by aftermarket exhausts.

Yes, it works very well, and although a bit expensive, is cheaper than many alternatives.

I'm really happy with mine. I have the medium size (17", I think), with all the discs in it is still reasonably quiet on a 150hp-ish  2L engine, and the loss in power compared to no muffler at all was negligible. I only noticed it because it revs a smidge slower in neutral. It's also really easy to add or remove discs, 5 or 6 Allen bolts and away you go.
