I was out at Ghost lake today with a friend. Even in his Ridgeline we had go around at idle speed due to the frozen ruts, bumps and drifts. I don't think it would be possible to have a school out there right now.
The ice is broken up at the bottom of the ramp because of TA lowering and raising the water level (I am convinced they did this on purpose btw).
Also, when we were about to leave I ran across one of the park Wardens and had a talk with him about the situation. He also said that he is supposed to keep an eye on groups out on the lake ... and that TA was trying to get rid of everyone out there ... and mentioned the motorcycle guys ... and maybe adding an access gate. Basically it sounds like they are trying to get everyone off the lake - whatever it takes (go back to my comment about lowering/raising the water levels to wreck the ice along the shore ... Normally they only lower the lake level in the spring when the runoff begins to increase.....but not this year. I wonder why?).
Anyway, I'm glad we aren't there anymore ... I think they did us a favour.
But I won't forget either. T/A ... another company to avoid etc. They earned our disrespect.
