Helmet Standards - ECE

Is there any provision to allow helmets that meet ECE R22.05, as per the SCCA rules? It's my understanding, that currently, ASN does not allow these helmets for AutoX?

My apologies if this has already been covered somewhere else.

We have inquired about this to ASN-FiA Canada but have not heard back.  I'll ask again.

At our conference call this evening, the National SoloSport Committee has approved the ECE 22.05 helmet standard for Autoslalom use. Validity will be ten years from date of manufacture, which must be indicated in the helmet. Stand by for a Bulletin shortly.

So ECE 22.05 which is on the helmet is the same as ECE R22.05, as “R” stands for regulation right? I got an ECE 22.05with date of  7/2017 good for 10 years past that date of manufacture.

Correct.  The use of the "R" is optional on the helmet markings.  The key marker will actually be on the chin strap of every helmet.  It will be an E in a circle with a number.  The number denotes the country the helmet was tested in.  All 22.05 helmets are good for ten years from the date of manufacture.
