Keep in mind that there will likely be a Championship Tour the weekend before the Pro.
Championship Tours more closely resemble our local events -- you get three runs on Saturday, then three runs on Sunday on a different (usually reversed) course. Your best Saturday time is added to your best Sunday time to determine your overall event time.
At Pros, there are two side-by-side courses with drag race starts. You do four back-to-back runs (left-right-left-right or vice versa) while lined up against another car Saturday morning, then repeat on Saturday afternoon, then Sunday morning. Your best left-side and best right-side times are added together to determine your overall event time.
Pros are *much* more intense than Tours. A lot of people avoid them for that reason, but I find them addictive. Unfortunately, I can't make the Packwood Pro next year.
