Tyre size
« on: July 29, 2015, 08:17:20 AM »
As I understand it I can fit any tyre on my stock rim, is that correct ? The size It like to go to is a 235 x 40 17 up from a 205 x 45 17 this increases the tyre foot print and very slightly increases the overall diameter from 24.3 to 24.4 is this legal in CS ?

17x7 rim? oem on a miata? lol thought the max was 16inch. I can say without a doubt that I LOVED 235 wide tires on my RSX.  Had some nice 16x8 alloy rims and it was awesome.  The whole car felt more planted,  the transitions felt much less "on the edge" and a more forgiving loss of balance when I pushed too hard.

haha I bet 5th gen will be 18inch then ;)

Having said what I did in my previous post, the wider tires are probably my all time favorite ever "mod" to any vehicle I have ever owned.  Its that good people.
