No, of course not.  Need about 11" for a 3/4 ton truck.  This is barely enough for people, never mind vehicles.

You will have the rear step out on ice under trail braking into a turn.
Once it leaves it doesn't return... I ran stickier tire on front wheel drive mini in Autocross for one event.
Showed everybody my rear window several times..!

I have no intentions to compete in ice racing this year so I am not too worried.  I very diligent in my daily driving to ensure the rear end stays planted and it has not been an issue at all.  Lots of glass roads the past week and the back end has not stepped out at all so I am fairly confident it will be controllable on Ghost Lake.  The Accord does have a bigger swing feel too it over my previous RSX but it has been just as easy to control.  So far the ABS has not been very intrusive either which was unexpected as I initially was planning to pull fuses and disable it for winter.

Ok, just consider in this case that the massive difference in traction probably outweighs a few mm difference in offset, especially on ice.

The offset difference is not intentional, it is just how things went and I am stuck with it for another month or two.  I expected snap oversteer and thus far have been pleasantly surprised with very little.  I have competed in autocross and rallycross so I am no stranger to tossing a car around.  I have also been helping the SASC with the ice driving schools for about 4-5 years now so I have a fair amount of ice driving experience.  I knew what I was getting into when winter arrived and have been keeping a close feel for any snap oversteer under braking or throttle lift during a corner.

Oh hey fair enough.. I just got the impression you were more hung up on offsets than tires. :)
