The heat is over and Cam is confirmed in 3rd.
Too bad that 2nd run that was 0.2 faster was a coned run ... I'm sure some time was left out there. Of course, there always is.
Thought for the day: It's not a case of having a perfect run but rather having smaller errors than the next guy.
Email from Cam: "My third run today could of been much better, had a pretty big slide coming in to the slalom at the finish, lost me a few tenths I'm thinking."
Yep, easily 0.5-0.75 seconds there.
In other words he could have been right there with Daddio!
It also tells me that Daddio had a near-perfect run. Consider this: Daddio's runs are as follows: 60.807 60.683 60.524
Notice something special? Anything?
All 3 runs are within 0.3 seconds.
Think about that for a moment ... and consider no 2nd driver and cold tires. He did get a re-run due to a downed/missing cone (that's another topic).
He (Daddio) pretty much nailed it, didn't he? Every run. But, you know what? They were not perfect runs!
Tomorrow is a new day and anyone can make a mistake ... even Daddio.
Go Cam! Do your best!
