What time window(s) on Friday is the mini-school running? I hadn't planned on coming down until sometime Friday afternoon, but obvs would need to be there earlier to do the school. Thanks.

SASC Events / Re: Results for July 6, 2019 SASC Event #6 - Airdrie« on: July 08, 2019, 11:01:28 AM »
It seems clear I need to modify my exhaust to be much louder; I'm really trailing the field on sound and times.
I'm thinking LS swap and straight pipes ought to do it Thanks to all who organized and setup 21
Automotive Marketplace / FS - 2002 Ford Focus SVT« on: May 03, 2019, 08:40:10 PM »
An oldie but a goodie... car-club price, asking $1500 https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1431634943
'02 SVT Focus - the sporty one, with the 170HP four, lower, firmer suspension, and 6 spd manual. Car is currently on 16" rims from a regular Focus with near-new winter tires, but also includes a set of the factory SVT 17, 5 spoke rims with performance summer tires (probably good for one more summer, possibly two). PS, PW, PB, sunroof, A/C, AM/FM CD with aux and USB with iPod/iPhone control. I'd love to see someone use/abuse the car for autocross or other motorsports, or just enjoy it as a still-above average fun car. The car is in good shape for its age, but not perfect. Those of you who've seen my ancient RX7 will know I look after cars. This has mostly served as my wife's daily driver for almost exactly 7 years, and is still a fun car to drive, but it does have some clunks & rattles, and a check engine light (downstream 02 sensor heater error, and a battery/charge light stuck on because the battery-minder/charge monitor was damaged by a bad voltage regulator allowing over-volts). The engine and gearbox are in great condition (no oil use or leaks, shifts great, and the clutch shows no signs of weakness). Timing belt was done 2 years/40,000 km ago, along with the water pump and all tensioners. The body is straight, no accidents. Oil changed on schedule religiously, always synthetic, with Wix filters. Gearbox oil changed 2 years ago with the recommended Ford synthetic gear oil - spendy, but it works best with this transmission. Alternator and battery new in the last 6 months. All receipts for the last 7 years, ~140,000km Most of the interior is in very good shape, but the driver's side heated seat doesn't work (we have a heated cushion on it), and there is a small tear in the leather bolster. The heated mirror also doesn't heat on the driver's side. Front wheel bearings and brakes replaced in last 2 years. Contact info in the Kijiji ad. 22
SASC Events / Re: Tour of Fred Phillips car collection in Springbank?« on: June 19, 2018, 02:01:04 PM »
I saw the collection back in the depths of winter (so some time in the last 6 months) - I'm good, but I will say it is a terrific collection and tour.

I too was trying to figure out how to register for just the Sunday, but it doesn't seem to be an option (and registration is closed).

SASC Events / Re: 2017 Dates« on: October 20, 2016, 10:09:07 AM »
The weather looks good for this weekend, so that's probably a good bet, but unfortunately (again) it doesn't look like I'm available, though next weekend looks good for me.

SASC Events / Re: Results Sunday May 15 2016 Championship Event #2« on: June 18, 2016, 08:30:35 PM »
If I could make a suggestion/request, could some header information be added to the results files - club name, event name/location, event date. I have to submit current results to MazdaSpeed, and they require that info be on the results to accept them for maintain my competition support status. I would imagine other manufacturer support programs might have similar requirements. - Thx - Greg
