We would obviously have to speak to them to not fly there.
At Fort Macleod since we shut down the airport while we run, should mean that a drone could be used subject to conditions above since the airport is not active.

FYI, OK, here's what the ASN/FiA Canada (our governing body ... they cover virtually all road racing, karting and autox events in Canada up to and including F1) has to say about drones: http://www.asncanada.com/wp-content...June13-2015.pdfSo basically you need to abide by Transportation Canada regs, have insurance ($5M) with our club named on it ... etc. The regs have changed since I last looked at it when they outright banned the use of drones a few years ago or so when the issue came up. Now they are allowed but under the above conditions. Reij

Thanks! Yes, I thought it went really well overall also. We had some issues with course design ... just more difficult when the "snow dunes" move around and change day-to-day ...

Yes, the SoloPro schools are well beyond beginner level ... nationa/international level rather ... if you are at that level you can learn from the schools. Raw beginners can learn a lot but some experience/basics under the belt first would be more benefiscial. On the other hand, before someone learns bad habits, ...

The presentation begins at 8 am sharp but I recommend coming at around 7:45 am so that you have time to sign the general waiver, get settled in, grab a coffee or tea, fill out the tech form (if not done beforehand ... which I would recommend), and just hang out and chew the fat for a bit before we "get" into it!
So, 7:45 am.
Cheers,
Reijo
