Tour of Fred Phillips car collection in Springbank?

Who's in for a visit to the Fred Phillips car collection at Springbank airport?  We need to get a min. of 40 people as a group and Fred will give us a guided tour of his couple of warehouses of rare, antique, exotic and racing vehicles ... a collection well worth seeing if you have not seen it before (I have been there 2x and he trades in vehicles ... some are Pebble Beach cars others just cars he likes ... and many very, very unique cars ... just a fascinating collection.  Therefore if you haven't been there in a while, chances are he has more vehicles you have not seen ... ).  I have seen a number of car collections but I think this is the most interesting.  There are cars (not car but cars!) there that I had not ever heard of when I went the first time!  And that is a genuinely surprising thing because I have been a car nut and fan of all types of cars since I was in public school!  He takes a donation of $30 (min.) and he then matches that and gives it all to a charity he cares about that rehabilitates young people involved in drugs.  His son went through the program successfully and this is his way of giving back to them!  Let me know if you are interested on here (PM, email or call me) or on the forum.  As mentioned we need 40 people (min.) to have a single group showing.

A further note, kids are not recommended since they tend to get restless since the tour is 3 hrs. plus in length.

Apparently not many tours have been arranged for the summer and they also prefer to do weekends (I did not know that ... Dale (from Fred/Focus) just got back to me on that ... I also edited some of the info above so please re-read!).

Oh, and there are many race cars in the collection too ... old original Trans-Am muscle cars, CAN-AM, baja etc.

I have about 34 people indicating interest already ... within 4 hours ... sent out an email.  I think this will happen ... usually meet at 7 pm near the Springbank airport then they meet us there and drive us to the 4 warehouses of cars ... probably a Tues. or Wed. evening real soon.

This is well worth taking in if you have any appreciation for cars at all ...a lot of very exclusive iron in there!

We have over 50 people on the list so the tour is a go!   

They also prefer weekends for tours (I did not know ... Dale from them told me thus).  So perhaps we'll do a weekend day or evening?

Kids are not recommended .... long time for a young person to be still ... I'm sure we all know that. ... tour is over 3 hours.

Potential dates sent to Fred:

I have checked our busy schedule (attached fyi) and it looks like available days for us would be as follows:

1.  Sunday, June 17th, (Father's Day).
2.  Saturday, June 30th
3.  Monday, July 2 (Canada Day long weekend)
4.  Sat. July 7
5.  Sun. July 8
6.  Sat. July 28

plus more later in the summer.  We can also do a weekday evening if that works in a pinch.

I spoke with Fred Phillips and he said he has an opening on Wed. June 20, evening.

He can do 6:30 pm or 7 pm start he mentioned.  How does 6:30 sound ... done a bit earlier ... and should be able to get home from work by then and we won't go quite as long into the night.

The site is right beside the Springbank Airport just west of Calgary on Hwy 1 (north side).

Please confirm with me that you can make it and I'll do a head count.  We are aiming for 50 is what Fred said ... if we do not fill it, he will reach out to others beforehand (e.g. by the weekend).  So let me know!

Drat, well, hopefully we can still somehow make it on a weekend, better chance of being able to bring my Dad cause he would love seeing that collection.
