Tour of Fred Phillips car collection in Springbank?

Read above...date is set - a day Fred by chance had available.....otherwise it would have been a month or so later.

Date is Wed. June 20 - aiming for 6:30 pm.   They meet us (in the past) at some mailboxes at the SW corner of the Springbank Airport industrial area and then lead us to the hangers/warehouses from there... so if you are late it is difficult since we do not have an address.

I can't make it, work is picking up and I have no idea where/when I will be that day. Hope we can try this again in July on a weekend 👍

Date is fixed:  Wed. evening - June 20/18.

Thus far we have 77 people expressing interest, 43 have confirmed they can make Wed. evening and 8 drops.

If you have not contacted me yet to confirm Wed., please let me know in some manner or another.  I have to have firm numbers for Fred by the weekend.

It's a great and interesting collection of cars (including quite a few race cars ... like CAN-AM, Trans-AM, Baja, etc.).

And apparently a 1 of a kind prototype turbine engine car, by I think Dodge, in an old muscle car.  So those who say how come they never did a turbine engine car, well, they did, and apparently Fred got his hands on the only one, lucky guy!!!!

That would be the Chrysler turbine car ... There was one in the Peterson Automobile Museum on Wiltshire Blvd. in LA ... I wonder if he bought it?  I think it was the only one that Chrysler did not demolish.  It was supposed to be demolished since it was a "test mule" in a sense ... so definitely rare and a story there somewhere.  I saw the one at Peterson.

 thus far I have had 80 expressions of interest, 12 drops, but only 45 confirmations for Wed. That leaves 23 people who have not got back to me. Get back to me please folks! If you did not confirm Wed. nite specifically, send me a quick note and I'll change your status to "confirmed for Wed. June 20". TIA!

OK - just got an email from Fred and apparently he does have a limit and it is 55.  We are at 55 right now so if you did not get back to me, you are on the waitlist and we can possibly look at another date later on if there is sufficient interest.  Thanks everyone!

I know there are quite a few people who expressed interest but did not get back to me after gaging the initial interest and have probably missed out (my apologies!).

Perhaps we can schedule another visit to the Fred Phillips car collection?

Anyway, please see the attached list to see if you got in.  Fred has a limit of 55 that he can handle.  I know the quarters are a bit limited for space (somebody filled them with cars!     ).

I continue to get expressions of interest for the tour. I think we will have to arrange another date.....tomorrow's is full at 55. I am at around 87 people who have expressed interest.   Instructions have not been received from Fred yet... will forward when received.

I saw the collection back in the depths of winter (so some time in the last 6 months) - I'm good, but I will say it is a terrific collection and tour.
