Looking to Co-Drive July 25th Practice Event
« on: June 28, 2015, 12:10:51 AM »
Hey all, as some of you know I have been considering a change to rwd.  I am looking for an opportunity to co-drive a Honda S2000 at the July 25th practice in Fort Mcleod.  Being a Honda fanboi I have decided the S2000 is what Id like purchase and would like the opportunity to partially feel one out in Fort Mcleod before I consider pulling the trigger.  Please PM me if this is something you are willing to consider.

May I suggest that you are starting at the wrong end here?  I believe you mentioned that this car would also be your DD, and the streets and highways are where you will be spending the vast majority of seat time in the car.

I have a few friends that have taken my S2K for a test drive (no racing), and it was hate at first sight.  It is noisy, rough riding, and has awful visibility to the sides and rear.

I guarantee that it will be fun to race, but can you live with it on a daily basis?

Edit: It will be fun to race after you get a new front swaybar.  Before that, it's just dangerous.

I figure a co-drive at a practice event would give me enough seat time to decide if I would be able to daily drive one.  Fort Mcleod is the place I feel most comfortable driving someone else's sports car too.  Less likely for things to go wrong if Im just lightly test driving the practice course.  On the main roads I have to worry about 1001 idiots who got their drivers license from a box of cereal.  Funny how that works eh?

unfortunately it appears rwd won't be happening anytime soon, likely having to default to fwd again.......
