Another question......
Assuming the attendance doesn't double in the next couple weeks.....what's the plan for number of official runs? Just first runs 3 each day? All runs? Separate morning and afternoon like your regular events? 6

What's the 3 options? If a CACC license is required I'm thinking there's a few BC people that don't have one. 8
Other Events / Re: Packwood travel plans« on: June 05, 2018, 11:45:28 AM »Cool, I'm in Kelowna in August right before Solo Nats. I'll check to see if they have any events while I'm there. Every Thursday night in Kelowna - last one is Aug 23 though. There is one in Vernon (40 minutes away) Sunday Aug 26. PM me if you want details or find me in Packwood. Wayne - I sent you a PM. Sorry for the thread derail...... 9

It's hilariously small, but it's fun (ask Murray - he's been). You're welcome to co-drive with me in my H-Street MX6. We leave Kelowna around 3:30 am Friday ....yeah I know that's early, but hey it's 4:30 Alberta time Your welcome to join the convoy if you're leaving anywhere around that time 10

Info is here http://bishop.ab.ca/cccc/CU2017BrochureReg4.pdf
Looks like autox on Sunday only? It also says it's just a regular autocross in their series ,but it is in conjunction with the CCCC Annual Convention. Typically the CCCC events have a couple drivers at the really point end, but the competition overall isn't much different than your local events. They tend to like more point and shoot style courses and have their own version of classing. Also some of them think sound limits are only a suggestion Edit - too slow 11

I'm hearing "crappy course - really tight. Everything is a late apex".
The number of ES cars at the top of pax 1-4 would support that. Scott McHugh always races that accord at pros. Thinking outside the box and taking advantage of the launch advantage over most HS cars 12

Just scanning the entry list and there's several "regulars" missing. I wonder if the accommodation shortage had an affect? Apparently there's a big wedding in Packwood this weekend and hotel rooms are hard to come by. I tried booking our usual spot back in April and it was already sold out.
Seems like some unusual spread among the classes as well - CM is big by their standards at 10 drivers, CSP is back from the dead with 10 as well. Other classes like SS (4), FS (4), SM (2), and a bunch of others are well below what I would have expected. I'm a little disappointed that I'll be running the same heat as BS - really wanted to watch the Ryan vs Dan Bullis battle. Two contenders for the top spot in Lincoln in my opinion. Should be a blast as usual - love the whole Packwood experience 14
SASC Events / Re: Sound at SASC Events« on: July 03, 2017, 08:52:36 PM »Why 93 dB when SCCA events are 100 dB? The "official" SCCA sound limit is 100 db, but almost all the locations they run at have much lower limits. Even Packwood has a lower limit (96 db?) and it's about as remote as you can get. 15
Other Events / Re: Re: Canadian Nationals Results and updates« on: June 23, 2017, 12:31:17 PM »
I doubt there will be any live online timing. - there isn't usually. You'll likely have to get your updates from someone onsite.... They often take 3 or 4 days to post results
As far as sound..... Yes it's a big deal. Pitt Meadows has had noise complaints from the neighbours since the beginning. There have been times where we've been shut down and told no more autocross. Persistence had paid off, but it's still a touchy subject. Some of the planes are unbearably loud, but the neighbours argue that 8 hours straight of car noise is not ok
