I had what we called "ice mode" on the Elise when we ran Hoosier. I ended up "fixing" it by using different fraction brake pad to get the brake bias right for the car. It might worth a try in your case. If the front locks first (use stock or less aggressive pad), vice versa for the rear. A cheap fix that worths a try.

Yes, we had the same thing when we ran Jay's Exige ...horrible ice mode and you ended up over-shooting corners if there were even hints of bumps in the braking area.  The fronts would lock up and you would get ice mode.  We ended installing stock pads in the front and the carbo-techs (I think that is what they were?) in the rear and presto!  No more ice mode - ever!  The pedal was slightly softer and the initial bite was not as good but for solo it was perfectly acceptable ... just change the pressure on the pedal a bit ... a tiny adjustment for good results.
