Same here.  Perhaps next year, since this year's plans don't include that.

San Diego Tour and El Toro Pro the following are two you can hit in a week and a bit ... excellent events and perfect temps ... bring shorts!   

The venues are a short distance apart (maybe 70 km if that?) and both right off of I-15 ... which starts at the Coutts border south of Lethbridge ... easy!

I have done that twice from here ... others have been at SD before .. Murray and Jo for two!   

And lots to do down there during the week in between!

SD Zoo, museums, waterfront, beaches, USS Midway (very, very cool big aircraft carrier with many retired planes on-board in the harbour right in DT San Diego).    El Toro is about 15 min. from Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, The Pond (where the Ducks play), Angel Stadium .... etc. etc.

Makes for a great trip.

And don't forget Balboa Park in San Diego -- it's a wonderful place.  15 major museums in one spot, and you can get ticket books for admission to all of them.  Jo and I spent most of our free time there.

Balboa Park for sure!   Close to the zoo.  Last time I went there they had artifacts from ancient Pompei (Vesuvius I think is the volcanoe which erupted and buried this entire town and a lot of folks).  I believe there are still on-going excavations there to this day.   In any case, it was very, very interesting, indeed!

Interesting ... they made SD a Match Tour April 1-3...   El Toro Pro is week after ...
