  • If you aren't hitting any cones, try harder.

I purchased two Hondas today, will likely skip prepping the FiST this season and race one of the Hondas (in a stupid class).

This begs the question -- why 2 Hondas?

Buy one, get the other for $1 package deal. Works great because the $1 one will make an excellent ice racing/rally x car.

Apparently the paint on our new car is quite brittle -- multiple rock chips showing white dots on the hood already :(

Thinking about a DIY plastidip bra.  Cheaper by far, and removable if I hate the result.

Good ol' waterbased paint. Subarus seem to suffer from the same thing i find.

Was it just me, or did anyone else find it amusing to read a retiree (ie. old guy) call somebody "bra". Oh wait, he actually meant bra.

There isn't much to prep on a FiST... basically it just needs tires and it is competitive in HS

Against my Accord? NEVER LOL, or TSX, if I pull the trigger on one  :-\

What did you actually end up getting? Care to reveal details of said cars? Cmon lol tell us

A K20 6 speed EK Civic and a DC2 Integra GSR. My plans were to use the Civic for lapping and time attack, the Integra for ice dice and rally x and the Fiesta for auto x and my daily driver. Just depends on budgeting and time constraints. I also am still working on breaking down and parting out the Subaru I crashed.

Miata is all prepped for the season:

Karcepts front sway bar
Koni shocks
Alignment
Side skirts screwed into place to prevent a cone from knocking it off.
3M on front hood
CS-II nano-coating on entire car
Wheels + RE-71R rubber

Just need to get a few more KM on the engine.

I discovered that the club model (GS in Canada) has a Sirius (shark fin) antenna on the trunk lid, while our car does not.  That is a bit concerning, since it probably could be protested at a U.S. National event.  Comfort and convenience doesn't cover removal of body bits :(

That antenna can't weigh much ... might want to check with the SCCA/SEB on that one and get a waiver on it.   I would think of that as more cosmetic than anything.

Nice! Im just getting shocks/swaybar thrown on the car this week... im a bit concerned about rubber... my rears are backordered and the estimated date of arrival is April 14th... cutting is quite close.

How do I do this?
