I think it'll fill up; personally I'm just watching the forecast for another day or two

I was hoping for for some rain this weekend, would like to do a day int he rain.

Missed out from that practice session in Red Deer a few weeks ago, looked fun to drive in.

Forecast went from sunny for Sunday yesterday to some rain earlier today .... and sure to change some more ...

But, yeah, we really don't get very many rain days and even when it rains we often end up running in the dry so in my opinion it is a good idea to try and get in a rain day when you can for practice.

And, it is good practice ... just be ready for rain - rain gear, boots, umbrella etc. and it'll be fine.

Preliminary course design is done, the course will be quite technical... so do your "foot" work  ;D

just remember some of us have cars twice the weight of yours (and maybe twice the wheel base in my case)  ;D

Technical does not necessarily mean tight and slow ... Technical is more something that needs more thought about where the line is etc. ... e.g. line choice.

Conversely, a tight course with no line choice involves no thought at all.....just stay between the cones ... Can you say boring?  I have seen people actually leave and not run after seeing something like this .... :)

Another aspect of "technical" is a sequence of offsets that requires serious effort to find the "flow" through it.
Such courses are usually very difficult, and very, very rewarding if you even come close to solving the puzzle.

i don't usually design course that favor any particular car, but I tend to design course with elements/sequences that I find difficult - so I can practice more  :)

The course is definitely not tight this weekend, but its long.

you can go pace it out at your nearby mall and tell me if it's tight lol

Working on some details with Reijo for his take on this. I might move the starting elements to the left(south). It was there because I remember the pavement wasn't in the best of condition...but we'll see.

Yes ... some frost heaves are located between the two light poles at the lower left of the drawing (SE corner basically ... and then near the next light pole but the course does not go near there now) and just to the right of the parking spaces in the driving aisle.

In the very southeast corner (lower left where we have had starts and finishes before, there are no bumps but the fence is close by ... Ryan used a start on the other side of the pole in his course last month but it was moved up and straight).
