Sun, Sept 17 Championship registration is open!
« on: August 29, 2017, 11:10:57 AM »
Next events:  There are RDSCC events coming up next (Sept. 5 and 17) and CSCC (SASC) championship #11 in Red Deer (Westerner) on Saturday, Sept. 16.

Registration for CSCC/Red Deer on Sept. 16 is here:

https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/cscc-sasc-championship-event-11-2017-09-16-westerner-park-calgary-sports-578188

The next SASC (CSCC) Championship Event #12 is at YYC/Calgary on Sunday, Sept. 17 and I just opened up registration for it here:

http://msreg.com/sept1717sasc

Therefore, in a sense, we have a double-header on Sept. 16-17 but with Saturday in Red Deer and Sunday in Calgary (YYC).

Hi all, please note that with the event on Sunday the gate for drivers closes at 8:50 am SHARP and drivers that have not checked in on site with the timing vehicle prior to 9:00am sharp will not be allowed to run that day, no exceptions.

Thanks!

The intention was to cap at 100.  It is at 101 entered ... 102 actually but there was one drop.  There will likely be a few more drops which is about normal, so hang in there and we'll see how it goes.

There are 3 on the waitlist as of now.

We will be running 3 heats on Sunday due to the numbers because we can!   :)

That means there will be no lunch break, and you can sneak out on your break for a snack (you will have a break in the morning and then again in the afternoon) either during the morning heats or the afternoon heats.

And, because there is no break, and to ensure we get as many runs as possible, we will have a worker position for keeping track of workers who will check in workers just before the last cars runs in a heat.

You should check in early so you can relieve the worker(s) out on the course right after you check in.  That way they can get ready to run or go for lunch etc.

The main idea is that there should be little or no down-time between heats..... a smooth transition.

Yes, please!  Help would be good!

We can use some help on Saturday afternoon at about 6 pm to pick up cones at the Public Storage, line the course (just going to pick up more flour), and set up the course!

Just heading out to pick up some flour!   :)

Tom (thanks Tom!) is doing up some work assignments tonight and we should post them so that we can know where we have to be etc.

We will try to run as efficiently as possible including getting started on-time etc. so that we can get the max. no. of runs.

I figure if we work together, we should be able to get 4 runs in the morning and 4 runs in the afternoon.

Like earlier in the year, we plan to send out cars very quickly (17-20 sec. - MAX apart .... it has come to my attention that 17 sec. is the optimum) so that means running for cones.   Get some exercise!  If you can`t run, let us know and we`ll put you in another worker position.

The new position for worker check-in is being instituted this Sunday, so you will have to check in each time BEFORE you work.  That is one worker position and they will handle all heats (one person can do this - job for the day ... short - maybe 10 min. per heat and JUST BEFORE each heat).

Because if we work together and do these things, we can do 8 runs each!

How do the people on the wait list know if they got in? I think I'm #105. Will we be notified ahead of time or do we have to show up in the morning and see if how many people show up?

Yes, Tom G., Terry J., Nick K., you and myself ... so 5 thus far.   We can maybe use 1 or 2 more easily since we are lining the course (2 lining machines), set up grid (I'm thinking 2 grids beside each other ... that way the next heat can be ready to go as soon as one heat finishes ... no waiting for cars!).  Each grid will have to handle about 35-37 cars max.....so one row for each.  The course doesn't use too many cones, so we can layout cones for all of those spots.  Others can place cones and tweak the course ... should take less than 2 hrs. ... 1.5 hrs. maybe?

I also took a look at a container on-site and we "may" have that for storage on Sunday night so we may not have to transport everything back to the other storage.....we'll see.

I suggest that you show up in the morning -- there are always a few people that don't show, for whatever reason.
