Looking for a C5 Corvette. I’m willing to consider Z06 and non Z06 models but nothing that’s a soft top convertible or an automatic. The top end of my budget is $22k but I’d be willing to spend a little more if I find the right car. Does not need to have any racing prep or modifications.

For some reason, Z06s seem to cost less than base cars locally. I haven't looked at any local cars in person, but my suspicion is that the cheap Z06s are beat to hell.

If you're willing to import a car (which isn't a big deal -- I've done it before), this looks like an amazing deal on a low-mileage '01 Z51: https://knoxville.craigslist.org/ctd/d/2001-chevrolet-corvette-z51/6464381015.html.

I sold that in August actually.

Also sold my 2017 WRX last weekend.

Last we talked the Corvette would be a driving-around car, not your primary competition vehicle -- has that changed?

Yes, but I’m not going to be taking it seriously this year. The car I bought is modded into CAM-S and I’m not planning to spend $2000 alone on 315/30/18 Rivals.
