Do it already James. You aren't going to find the one you want in the right color paint & interior and and and.

The only thing holding me back is the lack of garage.

Park at your dad's. just bring the corvette out to race day only lol

For Sunday's event, how will drivers know if they're into the next round or not?
Are we keeping track of our own results or will results be announced after each competing pair go out... (or is it after each run group)
eg. after a pair have their run, announcement is made "competitor 1 progresses to next round"....Then competitor 1 knows that he needs to go back to the grid & competitor 2 knows he is going back to the pitt.

Sorry if I'm not 100% clear here. Its so difficult to write out what I'm trying to say.Haha

I'm not sure if there are any Bimmer guys in here but I was building a turbo M3 & abandoned the project.
I have a few items still kicking around & would like to get them out my garage.
  • Fresh M52 block with S52 crank & fresh bearings
  • 24x12x3 intercooler (will fit R33 Skyline from what I'm told)
  • Head gasket kit (Victor Reinz)

I have not listed prices since I'm quite motivated to sell & will consider reasonable offers.

SASC Events / Test & Tune Day???
« on: August 01, 2017, 01:41:01 PM »
I may get flamed for this question but I'm wondering if there's any scope for a Test/Tune day to be held maybe in the coming year.
I was at the last practice day & I'm signed up for the next one but I find the format of the last day didn't leave time to actually "tune" anything more than tire pressures & even that was a tall ask if you had to make a substantial amount of adjustment.

In other words, if you weren't ready when it was your turn to go out, you'd have to wait until the grid marshall came back around & that could be a bit of a wait.
This meant, if I wanted to play with alignment settings (assuming i had the appropriate tools required) or even swaybar settings, I'd need more than 10min to make the change.
Ultimately, I may have had only 3 runs for the day & still not ideally set up the car.

Now I know this practice session is over & above what was originally set out for this season & I'm by no means ungrateful but I'm wondering if there's any value in looking for an alternate format which would allow drivers more time to make changes or even an alternate day with a smaller group of competitors that was focused on mechanical setup as opposed to honing in on driving skills.

Thoughts?

Yeah Id say I'm pretty set on 18's.
The price difference in tires from 18-->19 is pretty vast & I really dont want to drop down to 17's.
I had a lead on a set in edmonton but with nobody available to go check them out & do the deal for me, I had to let it go.
You can say I have some commitment issues when it comes to dealing with Kijiji Randoms.

Oh, Also....
The 5x112 wheels I've found typically weigh a bit more than my OEM wheels.

Current weather network forecast shows 70% change of ~5mm rain.

Well, you can get the top of the Cone Count list.  But with 8 cones you're still off from the top cones-per-event by a ways.  Some guys say if you're not hitting cones, you're not trying hard enough.

I was in the slalom with Ivan just before the big lefthand sweeper for the first run group.  At least every second car nailed the second last cone there.  Roughly 60 runs completely destroyed 3 or 4 cones, and we had to get more spares.  So it wasn't just you!
Thanks. That made me feel much better.
This is by far the most cones I've hit on a single day.
Heck its more than I've hit over a few months worth of events too. LOL

I'm hoping i can iron out my suspension settings before this weekend.

Can somebody explain to the Golf guy that you don't win anything for hitting the most number of cones? ;D ;D ;D
Sorry to the marshals for making you guys pick up cones so often.
